One of the tenets of Marie Kondo's uber-popular book on tidying is that all pieces of clothing (or anything in your home) should bring you "joy". As my "nesting" kicks into full swing at 6 1/2 months pregnant, I am trying to keep her words in my mind as I edit home & closet. I was originally attracted to the cocoon dress at the top of this post, but then discovered that Rachel Craven designs textiles for the home as well. The Echo Park, Los Angeles designer has chops in both the interior and fashion worlds-- and this is obvious in the harmony of both her clothing and houseware lines. I feel relaxed just looking at her structured, minimal pieces. Not only does her clothing seem infinitely comfortable, but also high-quality, versatile, timeless, and uncomplicated. Exactly the formula I am trying to achieve in all areas of my life! Marie would approve.
